Seat The XXL Rehab Shower-Commode chair is designed for bariatric user up to 325 kg. This is the attendant version to be pushed by carer when required. The chair has an inside width of 61 cm with Butterfly armrests which give an additional 10 cm of seat width thanks to their outrigged design. The open armrest design gives the maximum available seat width the occupant but retaining the ability to pass though most modern doorways. Each legrest can carry up to 100Kg and the footrest is also side/width adjustable, facilitating access to the groin area for hygiene. It also ensures that those clients who have to sit with their legs very wide apart due to excess fat can sit with legs apart (up to 110 cm) and still have foot support. One of the unique new features is a split toilet seat, a long open hole: 44 cm and 22 cm at the widest point. This to enable a correct use of the chair, it eases access for caregivers and avoids incidents where material ends up in places it wasn’t meant to end up. The armrests are 64 cm long and protrude 7 cm from the seat base to facilitate standing transfers. The space between backrest and seat has a clearance of 32 cm. to accommodate the gluteal region, as well as giving the carer better access to the sling to improve positioning.
